Q. Where do you live now? Why? What are you doing?
A: I’m currently living in West Lafayette, Indiana in the United States, attending Purdue University and majoring in exploratory studies.

Q. What are the biggest differences between there and Kaohsiung? What’s the biggest similarities?
A: The biggest differences are the food, weather, and transportation. The dining court is helpful for losing weight. The weather is very cold, with snow and strong winds. Since our school is in the middle of corn fields, transportation is often inconvenient and there are fewer activities in the city compared to Kaohsiung.

Q. What does a typical day look like for you?
A: A typical day for me starts with going to classes in the morning or afternoon, some days I also have lab sessions. In my free time, I sometimes go play badminton or pool with my friends, or just relax and crochet in my room.
Before it starts snowing, I often go for walks or stargazing before going to sleep. I often go to a restaurant called Yang Guo Fu to eat malatang, I think I eat there at least once every week.

Q. What's one thing you miss most about Taiwan?
A: One thing I miss the most is the food, especially the food from Taiwanese breakfast spots.
Q. What advice would you give to the HS students?
A: Enjoy the food in Taiwan, and maybe try to take some AP courses that could transfer as college credits.
Q. Did your KAS experience prepare you for life after HS?
A: Some parts of IB were helpful, such as biology and chemistry contents, they made my first semester easier.
Q. What are you looking forward to most in the next five years?
A: I’m looking forward to finishing my degree, figuring out my career path, and deciding what I want to do after graduation.
